Companioning You On Your Sacred Journey
Liminal Wisdom offers doula and coaching services worldwide to support folks through life’s most significant transitions — from birth, postpartum, and beyond.
Who We Are
Liminal Wisdom was actualized by Krista Kirkpatrick-Hatch while she traversed her own liminal journey into entrepreneurship.
Krista has extensive lived experience with a variety of losses, the heaviest of all being her parents during her formative years as a young adult. She revisited those losses into motherhood, an experience that opened the door to becoming the support she wish she had in postpartum: a postpartum doula. It was in serving parents in the postpartum period that she realized grief and loss is everywhere, but not always recognized.
At Liminal Wisdom, Krista marries her lived experiences, passion for caregiving, and art as a healing outlet to create a unique approach to pivotal and hopeful futures with her clients.
Walking and Holding Sacred Space With You
Grief is messy and so hard. Sometimes, your friends, colleauges, and loved ones have the best of intentions to support you but may inadvertently say something dismissive, insensitive… or nothing at all. It takes gentle care to support someone grieving a loss. In some situations, that loss is not so obvious or unfortunately not regarded as a ‘real loss.’ Let us walk with you during these sensitive days to help take some of that weight off.

Why We Do What We Doula
Growing a family can bring a mixture of emotions: excitement, uncertainty, stress, hope… At Liminal Wisdom, we believe that every family deserves individualized, compassionate, evidence-based support during pregnancy, birth, and the tender weeks that follow. Doula support does not replace loved ones; instead, it provides a beautiful compliment to the support systems already in place.

Krista is an absolute gem! As a first time mom, her help was truly appreciated and I couldn’t have done it without her! ... Krista has seen my baby since she was one day old and continues to see her grow. Krista is part of our little family. I highly recommend working with Krista! She is such a gentle and sweet soul. Krista was our postpartum Doula for intermittent overnight support for our second daughter. We found Krista to be a very caring and warm person and she took excellent care of our daughter during the challenging first 8 weeks after birth. She quickly became our go-to Doula. She was willing to do 10 hr overnight shifts - which was very helpful in taking of our older one in the mornings. I cannot recommend Krista enough! We would hire her in a heartbeat.

Krista was great with our 10 month old and 3 year old! We felt at ease going out for a night and leaving her to do bedtime. It is so hard to find someone you feel comfortable leaving the bedtime routine with and she killed it! Thanks for letting us enjoy our date nights!

Krista is truly one of a kind, and we will never forget her. She cared for our baby with so much love, tenderness, and genuine concern, not only for him, but for our entire family during his first five weeks of life. Her presence brought a sense of calm and reassurance into our home during such a transformative time. She supported me tremendously with breastfeeding, offering helpful tips and encouragement. She was always attentive to our baby’s needs, thoughtfully restocking items in the nursery and making sure everything was in place. Beyond baby care, she nourished us with delicious, home-cooked meals that were essential for my recovery and for sustaining breastfeeding. She prepared snacks and breakfasts so I would always have something ready in the fridge and she cooks beautifully. Krista also helped with household tasks like folding and washing laundry, which made a world of difference. She truly made everything feel lighter during this period of adjustment. More than that, she went above and beyond by offering emotional support through conversations, motivation, and constant encouragement. I was able to sleep peacefully knowing our baby was not only safe, but deeply loved and well cared for. We truly could not have had anyone better to care for our little one. We are forever grateful. 🤍

I can’t say enough good things about Krista! She was such an incredible support during the newborn stage and quickly became someone I completely trusted with my baby. She was always punctual, dependable, and brought such a calm, warm presence into our home. The biggest gift she gave me was sleep. I could truly relax and rest knowing my baby was being cared for by someone so attentive and experienced. I rarely heard my newborn cry or fuss during the night because Krista was always one step ahead, making sure all of my baby’s needs were met. Every morning, I woke up feeling refreshed and reassured that my baby had been loved and cared for all night long. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made such a difference during a challenging time. I would wholeheartedly recommend Krista to any family looking for a doula—you will be so grateful to have her support!

Krista supported us after our baby was born, with overnight postpartum doula services. She was so kind and knowledgeable, and she was a lifesaver. When you're sleep deprived, getting a full night's sleep and waking up to fresh banana bread is game changing.
